Day 01: RECEIVE AT BAGDOGRA
Receive at Bagdogra Airport and drive to Phuentsholing.
· Check in to hotel.
· Evening at leisure.
· Overnight at hotel in Phuntsholing.
Day 02: PHUENTSHOLING-THIMPHU (175 KM/5-6 HOURS)
· Process for permit.
· Drive to Thimphu.
· En route visit Rinchending Lhakhhang (temple) located beautifully on a hill top overlooking the twin towns of Phuentsholing, Bhutan and Jaigaon, India.
· Evening visit Tashichho Dzong the impressive fortress which houses the secretariat building, the throne room of His Majesty the King and various government offices. It is also the summer residence of the Chief Abbot and central monk body. Witness the Flag lowering ceremony before you enter the Dzong.
· Overnight at hotel, Thimphu.
Day 03: THIMPHU
· Visit the memorial chorten (Stupa) located in the center of the City which was built in the memory of our beloved Third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuk.
· Drive to Kuenselphodrang where world’s tallest Buddha Statue (169 feet) sits overlooking the Thimphu Valley. Enjoy the spectacular view of Thimphu city.
· Visit Takin preserve at Motithang to gaze upon Takin, the National animal of Bhutan.
· Drive to BBS tower to view the Thimphu city opposite to Kuenselphodrang.
· Drive to the view point of Tashichho Dzong.
· Handmade paper factory where age old method of paper making is still used.
· Royal Textile Academy.
· Folk Heritage Museum.
· Evening free for shopping.
· Overnight at your hotel in Thimphu.
Day 04: THIMPHU-PUNAKHA (71 KM/3 HOURS)
· Drive up to Dochu-la pass (3,088m/10,130ft) stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the 108 chortens, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. If skies are clear, the high Himalayan peaks towards the north east will be revealed in all their glory. On a clear day, the following peaks can be seen from this pass (left to right): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendegang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m), Jejegangphugang (7,158m), Kangphugang (7,170m), Zongaphugang (7,060m) a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana, and finally, Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m.
· Hike to Chemi Lhakhang through a nice walk along the rice field and through farm houses. The temple was built by Lama Nawang Chogyel in 1499 and is today a popular temple where barren women come to pray for a child. The temple is popularly known as the Fertility Temple.
· Visit Punakha Dzong, a massive structure built at the junction of two rivers. Punakha was Bhutan’s capital until 1955 and Punakha Dzong still serves as the winter residence of the central monk body. Bhutan’s first king, Ugyen Wangchuck, was crowned here in 1907. The fortress has withstood damage from fire, earthquake and flood over the centuries. The latest flood, in October, 1994, caused great damage to the fortress but miraculously spared its most holy statue.
· Drive to Nunnery viewpoint to enjoy the views of Punakha and Wangdue valleys.
· Overnight at your Hotel in Punakha.
Day 05: PUNAKHA-PARO (140KM/4-5 HOURS)
· Drive towards Paro.
· Visit to Ta Dzong, which in the past served as watchtower for Paro Dzong and now houses the National Museum.
· Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
· Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, built in the 7th century by the Tibetan king, Songtsen Gampo.
· Evening free or can visit the Paro town with a street of typical Bhutanese traditional buildings.
· Overnight at your Hotel in Paro.
Day 06: PARO TAKTSHANG HIKE (4-6 HOURS) or CHELELA PASS EXCURSION
OPTION 1:
· Hike to Taktshang Monastery, one of the holiest and the most beautiful sites of Bhutan. Taktshang, the tiger’s lair, acquires its name from the legend of its foundation, when in the 8th Century Guru Rimpoche, widely revered as the second Buddha, arrived from Tibet flying across the mountains on the back of a tigress.
· Visit Kichu Lhakhang one of the oldest Temples in the Kingdom.
· Evening free for shopping.
OPTION 2:
· If you cannot hike to Taktshang, drive to Chelela Pass the Kingdom’s highest Motor able pass (3988m). Enjoy the spectacular view of the Paro and Haa valleys on either side of the pass. En route enjoy the beauty of nature with different vegetation as you climb up the mountain. Bird lovers especially will love this trip.

· Evening stroll around Paro town for souvenirs.
· Overnight at your hotel in Paro.

· Our team will drop you to Bagdora airport and bid farewell.

AC Vehicles and Supplements:
Due to Bhutan’s location, altitude and clean environment, AC is generally not required in most of the parts. However it may be hot during some of the days (in the months of May, June, July) and in some parts of the country (such as Phuentsholing and Punakha/Wangdue). Even during these times weather is pleasant except for those days when it is sunny.
In case, of any requests for AC vehicle, Please note the following:
Supplement cost as per vehicle selection would be applicable.
The AC shall be switched on only when the Vehicle is on move. When the car is travelling uphill AC will be put off (as this interferes with the performance of the vehicle).
Due to limited AC vehicles in Bhutan, the request for AC vehicles needs to be confirmed well in advance.

Important Facts for Travelers:
Entry Permit for Bhutan: Indian nationals do not require visa to travel in Bhutan. However they require an entry permit which will have to be processed on arrival. They can also avail advance permits online through a registered tour operator in Bhutan.
Online permit (must have passport) would be obtained prior to arrival if the services of licensed guide is taken which will reduce your waiting time for permit at the border which takes anywhere from one to five hours or more depending on the rush and also can travel on weekends and public holidays when the immigration office remains closed. If the service of guide is not required our driver can only assist you for permits.
Note: English speaking dedicated guide optional @ Rs.1200 per day.
